David Freese homered and Lance Lynn threw eight strong innings to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday afternoon. Lynn improved to 4-0 on the season.

Freese went 2-4 with a home run and three runs batted in. Lance Lynn improved to 4-0 with an eight inning, one run performance in the Cardinals 5-1 win. St. Louis now heads home for a weekend series with Milwaukee while Chicago travels to Philadelphia.
